tetronimedia

gAme design ethos

There's a meme going around, you may have seen it:

"I want shorter games with worse graphics made by people who are paid more to work less and I'm not kidding"

- quote by @Jordan_Mallory

...and I agree!! This is what I'm working towards. This is how I want to run my studio. I want TetroniMedia to be a punk rock, self-published, self-funded, sustainable, games studio. Yes, this is a lofty goal and will take a lot of time to achieve.

If you'd like to read my little rant about this on Blusky here ya go: @tetronimike.bsky.social

Anti-Ai stAtement

TetroniMedia will never use AI in its projects. Period. This person expressed my feelings about AI better than I could:

"There exists more media than one could ever consume in one's lifetime, why would one choose to spend time with those that the creators didn't care enough about to make themselves?"

- paraphrased quote from @sammgreer.bsky.social

Dreamsettler
- RIP -

The sequel to Hypnospace Outlaw, unfortunately cancelled in 2025.

Mark LaCroix (Noble Robot) and I worked as co-programmers, Jay Tholen as the lead. We're hoping to resurrect some of what we made for Dreamsettler in other context(s) soon!

Hypnospace Outlaw
| |

A '90s internet simulator in which players act as Enforcers, volunteer moderators who scour Hypnospace's surreal network of weird and wonderful websites to hunt down wrongdoers while also keeping an eye on their inbox, avoiding viruses and adware, and downloading a plethora of apps that may or may not be useful.

I had the pleasure of working as lead programmer and second-in-command on this project, along with Jay Tholen, Xalavier Nelson, Corey Cochran, and the team at No More Robots. Hypnospace Outlaw was made in Construct 2, and released in March of 2019.

Currently I'm working on a secret Hypnospace related project, stay tuned...

Older Projects

A few of my older video game projects and curiosities can be found on itch.io!

I've also made tools for developers which you can find on the Clickteam ClickStore, as well as itch.io. If you are a game developer using Clickteam Fusion products, you might find these useful! The tools may be listed under my (very) old studio name, Bipolar Design.

Depending on your phone/tablet you may also be able to find my older games on Google Play - and watch this space for new mobile games, coming soon!
